By installing or playing the game you agree to what follows. It is short on purpose.
What you get
A licence to play the game on devices you own or control, for as long as you like, for your own personal use. The game, its art, its music and its code remain ours.
You may not:
- take it apart, decompile it or rebuild it, except where the law says you may;
- sell, rent or redistribute it;
- modify it to gain an advantage, or use tools that do;
- use it to break the law.
Purchases
Shards, plates and everything else the shop sells are a licence to use items inside this game. They are not money, they hold no value outside the game, and they cannot be exchanged for anything real.
- Everything the shop sells can also be earned by playing. Nothing needs to be bought to reach the end of the game.
- Purchases are consumable: once shards are credited to your balance, they are spent, not owned.
- Balances live on the device. Uninstalling the game, or switching phones, can lose them. There is no account holding them for you.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store, and refunds are theirs to give under their own policies. We cannot issue one, and we cannot see your payment details.
Advertising
The game shows ads, and offers optional ads you can watch in exchange for shards or a plate. Watching one is always your choice, and the reward is granted only if the ad is actually watched through.
Ad content comes from Google's network and is not chosen or written by us.
Leaderboards and fair play
Scores submitted to Google Play Games or Game Center are visible to other players. Scores obtained by modifying the game, tampering with its saved data or otherwise not playing it may be removed, and the platforms may act on their own account.
The daily course
The Drift reconfigures once a day, at midnight UTC, and is the same for every player. Moving your device clock does not give you a different course; it only desynchronises your game from everyone else's.
Availability
The game is provided as it is. We try to keep it working and to fix what breaks, but we do not promise it will always be available, run on every device, or be free of faults. Features may be added, changed or removed.
Some parts depend on services we do not run — the stores, Google Play Games, Game Center, the ad network. When one of those is down, the part that depends on it is down with it.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from playing the game, and our total liability is limited to what you have actually paid us for it.
Nothing here removes rights you hold that cannot be removed by agreement, including consumer rights in your own country.
Children
If you are a minor, play only with the agreement of a parent or guardian, and make purchases only with their permission. Both stores offer parental controls that can block in-app purchases entirely.
Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top will move when they do, and continuing to play after that means accepting the new version.
