Last updated 11 August 2026 · applies to Circles & Dots: Pip's Orbit on iOS and Android

This is a small game made by one person. There is no account, no login and no profile. Your scores, your shards and your settings live on your phone and nowhere else.

What follows is a plain description of everything that does leave your device, who receives it, and how to stop it.

What stays on your device

Saved in the app's own storage, never uploaded, and deleted the moment you uninstall the game:

  • your best scores in each mode, and your best on today's shared course
  • your balances of shards, anchors and plates
  • which beacon you have equipped and which upgrades you own
  • your daily streak and whether you have claimed today's reward
  • sound and music settings, and whether the tutorial has been seen
  • when your reminders are due to fire

What leaves your device

WhoWhat they receiveWhy
Google Analytics
for Firebase
Two events. Run ended carries how long the run lasted, the score, the mode, how many shards were collected, the best combo, how many hazards appeared, how it ended, and similar numbers about that run. Sector entered carries which stretch of the belt was reached. Firebase also collects, on its own, an app instance identifier, your device model, operating system version, country and language. To tune the difficulty. Every measurement listed is about a run, not about a person; none of it identifies you.
Google AdMob Your device's advertising identifier, approximate location derived from your IP address, and which ads were shown to you. To show the ads that keep the game free.
Firebase Cloud
Messaging
A registration token that identifies this installation. So the game can receive a message if one is ever sent. The reminders you actually see are scheduled by your own phone and never leave it.
Google Play Games
Game Center
Your score, and your gamer profile as the platform provides it — only if you choose to sign in. Leaderboards and achievements. Declining costs you nothing else.
Google Play
Apple App Store
Whatever the store needs to take a payment. The game is told only that a purchase succeeded. In-app purchases. Payment details are never seen by this app and are never sent to us.

That is the entire list. Nothing is sold, nothing is shared with data brokers, and there is no server of ours anywhere in it.

Advertising identifiers

Ads use the advertising identifier your phone assigns — the IDFA on iOS, the Advertising ID on Android. It is not your name, your email or your phone number, and you can reset or switch it off at any time.

On iOS the game asks, through Apple's own prompt, whether it may use that identifier for tracking. If you decline, the game keeps working and the ads simply become less relevant.

How to turn it off

  • iOS — Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking
  • Android — Settings › Google › Ads › Delete advertising ID

Notifications

The game asks permission only after you have finished a run, never on first launch. It sends at most two reminders: one in the evening about the daily course or a streak about to break, and one after a few days away.

Both are scheduled by your own phone. Refusing, or switching them off later in your system settings, changes nothing else about the game.

Children

The game is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, write to us and it will be removed.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see what is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Since the game holds no account and no name, the practical routes are:

  • Delete everything held locally — uninstall the game. Scores, balances and purchases stored on the device go with it.
  • Stop the analytics — reset or disable your advertising identifier as described above, which also breaks the link Firebase uses.
  • Ask us directly — write to the address below and say what you want.

Google's handling of the data it receives is governed by its own policy: policies.google.com/privacy. Apple's is at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Changes

If what the game collects ever changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Nothing new starts being collected before it is written here.
